A fun weekend for all the family


Saturday August 25th 7pm - 10pm & Bank Holiday Sunday August 26th 11am - 5pm



Sandgate Now an established annual event, the Sandgate Sea and Food Festival will once again provide residents and visitors alike with their August Bank holiday entertainment.

The event kicks off with a spectacular firework display sponsored by the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust together with live music supplied by Days Gone By and food outlets including The Boat House.

Sunday promises to be a really busy day commencing at 11 am with numerous stalls catering for all ages accompanied by stilt walkers, Marsh Vintage Amusements , Punch & Judy, Folkestone Party Mascots and more.

Live music will feature throughout the day provided by Roan Kearsey-Lawson a celebrated vibes player who will be playing with other musicians, The U3a Shepway Swing Band, Mr Zenn, Live Lounge Collective, SaltDish Ukulele Group, P&O Ferries Choir, and Jack Pound - Troubadour.

A stone's throw from the beach you'll find Sandgate High Street: a bustling hub full of independent boutique shops, art galleries, cafes, bars and restaurants. The town recently featured in The Telegraph as one of the South East's top seaside escapes for day trippers, and the Sea Festival presents the perfect opportunity to find out why. Expect longer opening times and special sea festival activities from shopkeepers throughout the bank holiday weekend.
